Arte e Cultura Visual

Arte e Cultura Visual is an annual magazine published by CIEBA (Centro de Investigação e de Estudos em Belas-Artes), dedicated to visual arts and visual culture. The publication explores art and artistic images through a broad and multidisciplinary perspective, considering their historical, cultural, aesthetic, institutional and social contexts.

Each issue focuses on a central theme, ranging from isolation, to democracy and war, and brings together contributions from researchers, thinkers and artists. The magazine creates a space for different perspectives and approaches, combining critical reflection with artistic practice and exploring the ways in which images can also become a form of thought.
