Noun
NOUN is a fictional editorial project created during the pandemic, as a way to explore ideas and keep designing during some unexpected free time. What started as a personal experiment developed into an identity for a fictional publication exploring contemporary culture through a bold and flexible visual system.

The identity takes inspiration from the grammatical definition of a noun (a word used to identify people, places, things, events and ideas) and translates this idea into a modular graphic language.

A bold typographic wordmark plays with hierarchy and changing proportions, while split compositions, modular layouts and vibrant colours give the publication a strong and expressive character. Photography and colour play an important role throughout the identity, allowing each issue to have its own personality within the same visual system.
