Profound Whatever 2026

Visual identity developed for the fifth edition of Profound Whatever, a festival centred on collaboration and a risk-taking approach to exploratory, improvised and creative music. The visual identity starts from a photograph by Marco Freire of the mountains of northern Portugal, introducing a vivid pink sky as an unexpected intervention into the landscape.

The photograph is paired with an oversized typographic treatment of the festival name, creating a direct and unapologetic composition. The contrast between the analogue quality of the photograph and the bold, graphic presence of the typography reflects the festival itself, bringing together different practices, approaches and voices through a shared visual language.
