The Burrow

The Burrow is a fictional bar in Brooklyn, New York, built around good beer, great conversations and carefree nights. The visual identity draws from the character and nostalgia of traditional pubs and private clubs, reinterpreting these references through a more playful and contemporary lens.

The name imagines the bar as a shared refuge, a place to gather, settle in and escape into a world of its own. The hare becomes its unlikely inhabitant, introducing a sense of character and spontaneity while reinforcing the intimate, communal nature of the space.

The wordmark features a tilted “O”, evoking the entrance to a burrow and establishing an intentionally off-kilter quality that extends throughout the visual language. Tilted imagery, expressive typography and playful photography bring movement and imperfection to the identity, balancing its more classic foundations with the relaxed and irreverent atmosphere of the bar.
